The Sphere of Fear is a technically stunning presentation combining surrealism with wry humour, superb acting by local talent and an ingenious storyline. Many people regard football with religious fervour, but what happens when a Satanic ritual goes wrong and a ball becomes imbued with a life of its own? One with evil intent! Filmed on a budget of £300 and taking six years to complete, this movie shows what can be accomplished with little or no resources and a mountain of creativity and determination.
